After graduating from Case Western University (CWRU), I did my anesthesia training at the Cleveland Clinic, where I worked and taught until moving to Seattle with my husband in 1990. For the past 31 years, my husband and I have devoted most of our free time raising our four sons. In addition to teaching CPR and ACLS, I recently completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at CWRU. I chose to earn a Practice Doctorate (DNP), as opposed to a Research Doctorate (PhD), because I wanted to focus on translating research into evidence-based practice to optimize health outcomes for my patients.
